I have 2000 GTI GLX over 193,000 miles on a 12v vr6. I never had any issues with replacing anything besides tires, pads, air filter, oil e.t.c. normal maintanece no horror stories where is vw getting all this negative rap? I never have any issues and I had the car for 9 years.

Maybe if your only other car choices are Fiat and Lada…

vw has one of the worse quality rating of any car in NA…

bi-xenon aren’t any brighter. they are called bi-xenon, because you can use xenon also for long lights. it shifts light position, to change direction of the light, because xenon lights use more time to start working at full power, so you can’t qucky blend with them.

Have to laugh at the alloy’s comment, they are not the same as the mk5, they are very similar, but the mk5 doesnt have the black inserts in the ‘horseshoe’ holes, and for his information, they are called Monza’s. You have to wonder if he actually did any homework on the car before making himself look pretty stupid.

its Bi-Xenon, and they are much brighter headlights. Next time you drive out at night, look for the bright white colored lights, they are usually found on new luxury cars as they can cost up to 200 dollars a bulb!

Another great review from Joe Wisenjew! vay to go Joe its vhat zah people vant! The headlights look kind of like Hitlers SS saluting, Und the satellite navigation probably will only take you to Poland, but hey at least Volkswagen has quit putting a free copy of mein kampf in the glove compartment. Just kidding Joe, I love VW’s nice cars, I miss my Passat! Und Im sure your not Juden!!

The only best looking golf ever is the mk5 i think. This new one is ugly skinny and simple. Besides VW is knowing for using their old models and then just redesign the shell and interior to save money and time. I think they should stop doing this and design a car at least 80% new. They should also launch some proper sport cars instead of just make the gti & R32 as they have potential, i think VW just see them self owning audi and other famous sport car brands so they became lazy.
