CcormacC09 dont doubt that 14 year olds can drive 300 i played high school golf this last spring i was 15 and i averaged about 290 drives and always had atleast 1 or 2 drive that went 310 315 just because there handicap dont show it doesnt mean they cant because all of my friends have better handicaps but i can out hit them by atleast 30 yards theres

hitting it long helps in making birdies but it really isnt as big a deal as some people think. its all about how you hit your irons. having excellent 3 4 and \5 irons and being able to stick your short irons claso makes all the difference in the world.

It doesn’t matter how old u are if you hit right, make good contact, and have good driver you can hit 300 yards.

Im 14 Off 6 at a golf course in the top 50 worldwide. I drive it about 250-260 yards hit my 4 iron 185 that gets me to most holes on my course. In regulation. I average about 8/14 fairways. about 8 greens and about 28 puts so thats where the moneyy is on the short grass.

14 year olds saying they hit the ball 300 yards are full of ****! Actually pace out your driver yardages and i can guarentee you that you hit the ball a lot shorter than you think. Im off a 3 hcap and drive it about 275 yards

yeah infact distance isnt much of the game golf, 80% is Shortgame and putting, if you do a **** drive and not so accurate iron play, you can save your self so well and still come a way with par or a bogey with a really good shortgame. but saying this longgame needs to be good to really cut your H’cap

im 16 nd hit my driver 300 average nd fairly accurate lol but when people say practice putting do it makes the biggest difference in the game its the difference of shooting mid seventies rather than par or better for me

33tons….you’re the one who is full of b.s. You obviously know nothing about the game. There are a lot of teens that hit drive the ball 300 yards.
Coonation…..you nailed it. Accuracy is so much more important than distance. Get it on the fairway. But, as you mentioned, as if you finally develope the proper swing (sounds like you have) distance + accuracy makes those birdies much more likey. Especailly on those par 5’s. Keep up the good work.

I think that you are all bullshit if you can hit
275 and 300 at you age a pro hit a little bit over that and they are pro,so you can hit about the same thing ten tiger wood ,just writ the right distance you drive kids

I’m 19. I hit the ball about 320 with the Callaway FT-5 driver and a stiff V2 shaft. Whoever says distance doesn’t matter isn’t completely right. Once you start moving back from the ladies tee’s then you’ll start to see that distance matters. If you want to become a good golfer… you need to be able to hit the ball far to make birdies or better. Look at the PGA. You have to hit it far to have a chance at winning tourneys. I’m a 4 handicapper.

I like his touch your ******* technique.

I can bomb it on the range, but on the course i rarely hit it over 300 with the r7 quad. gotta keep it in the fairway.
