SHIT!
I have looked at many videos and still hit the ground with my club!
I wish it was that easy!

Weight shift happens behind you… WOW
I finally understood the proper weight shift and added 20-30 yards to my drive ( straight as a arrow as well). I used to shift the weight into the front left foot which caused lunging, loss of power and all kinds of directional problems. WIth the proper weight shift( near the hill of left foot), I find so much room to swing my arms into proper finish. Thanks so much for this help.

Shawn, I just saw your video after you left on xmas eve, fantastic! Instructions are clear and motivated. By chance, I saw another instructor speak about the downswing and did not understand a thing. Keep on trucking! I noticed on one of your videos that you were recommending the use of a certain putter. If you did not get any advertising money for this, you should inform your public that you don’t represent the manufacturer.

Shawn,

All your video lessons are outstanding. I feel like I have found a gold mine! I especially love this one. You clearly explain things that I, as a single digit handicapper, have never understood. Could you clarify the following statement in this video, “That weight shift is about an inch long”? Thanks!

I am finding that getting weight onto the left side early actually PREVENTS pushes, because the firm left leg KEEPS YOUR BODY, PARTICULARY SHOULDERS, FROM SPINNING OUT. I now actually oberve that my pushes often are the result of inadequate bracing of the left leg. (Without the left leg braced, the momentum was just too strong to resist spinout.) The early planted front leg actually permits rotating which squares up the club, yet also RESISTS excessive twisting.

Shawn, love your videos. I’ve experimented with your swing theory with some good success. What holds me back is that I tend to fight pushes & hooks (tilting the spine, on the downswing, coming in way under the plane and flipping my hands). I’m afraid that your “braced tilt” idea, which feels very powerful, will only make me push/hook the ball more. What should I do?

The video is lagged you can hear him hit the golf ball before he moves his club!
