Excellent video; just had to have a slight grip alteration in a lesson and wasn’t completely understanding everything the pro said about it. This has helped me understand much better. Thanks.

Its not bad it just means your using the 10 finger grip which doesn’t unify the hands as well and give such good power and control. The grip you are using is good for younger and beginner golfers. I do advise you try the overlap grip though as it will help your game progress, though it will feel strange at first.

its not bad. locking the pinky and pointer is better but i know a few successful golfers that dont. i would get use to it though.

Just want to thank for the video. Been struggling with a seemingly perfect grip, looking in atleast 10 magazines and still not getting the feeling of the hands being united. I turned out though that my grip-club that shows how to grip the club had the left thumb seperate from the pointing finger making an easy connection between both hands impossible. Finally I can get some sleep! Thx

Excellent video. The markings on the hand are great. This answered a ton of questions I had about grip. Now to try out a few things. Thanks a lot!

same here but no its not bad (if your beginner). For me, it gives A LOT of control. I think its called the interlocking grip.

Oh Yeah you are a Big Dicked Daddy from Cinncinatti.
He’s quite a bit more than a club pro.
And I bet you dont have 2 nickels to rub together

I doubt that. Club pros are weak golfers most only play once or twice a week if that. I play every day (providing its not raining) which gives the upper hand also; with all that movement in his swing hes bound to be inconsistent. that being said, he is always welcome to join our game providing he can cover the nut to get in…

Very good point. In this situation you should be able to swing the club with index finger pointing at the ground and thumb up in the air while the rest of the fingers grip the shaft. It’s almost as if you are making the ‘GUN’ notion with index and thumb while gripping the club.

Good video very educational. I will say this… Hogan used an overlapping grip and his right hand gripped with his fingers however, not as you suggested. Gripping with the index finger creates too much right hand dominance, if you grip with the two middle fingers of the right had in a interlocking grip you can swing without the thumb and forefinger on the grip to give your left hand the upmost control
