Stack and Tilt Golf Swing

Golf Life Television and Hitgolf.com interview Michael Bennett, the co-inventor of the popular new swing on the PGA Tour, The Stack and Tilt. Bennett and his partner researched golf swings and body mechanics to arrive at this golf swing philosophy that has been very successful with many PGA tour professionals like Dean Wilson, Mike Wier and Arron Baddeley. A simple and effective way of swinging a golf club… I am a happy converter.

LOL yeah according to Hardy’s theory, nearly every great golf shot in history was struck by a player with a lethal mix of differing fundamentals. LOL

Hardy is definitely a hack. First he comes out and talks about two definite swing styles (one and two planes), then all his seminars are about hybrid swings.

why does that poser Hardy try to take credit for stack and tilt calling it a “one plane swing?”

Not true, power comes from club head speed and energy transfer from the club head into the golf ball. Mathematical equation is E=1/2Mv(2). In golf this is measured and explained via club head speed and “smash factor” which is a function of energy transfer from the club head into the golf ball. If you notice the power generating parts of the swing itself do not change, the shoulders and hip are still allowed to rotate to generate centrifugal force and club head speed.

Hmm, I’ll have to give this a try. To each his own.

I have not tried this and dont intend to either, but if your weight is stacked on the left at the top, where does the power come from, traditionally its from the weight shift and clearing of the left hip, ie hip/shoulder separation on the down swing, i dont know it just doesnt look right to me! need more convincing !!

ye i figured my take away out and then on my downswing i have no worries and just let it rip. iv been hitting my drives 30 40 yards longer. i also upgraded my driver which helps so ye thats key forsure. im hitting my driver 320 330 and my 3 wood 260

Fought iron play for over a year. Inconsistent because I lost the trust in being able to get to the ball on time every time. Went to hybrids to compensate. I watched this video and tried it on the couse last Saturday. I hit the longest seven iron, pitching wedge, A-wedge, Driver, and 3 wood I have ever hit in my life. 172yd Par 3 ( seven Iron) 515 yd Par 5 on the fringe in 2(Driver 279yds then 3-wood 235yds) I have no worries about the takeaway anymore and feel confident in my swing.

Not really. they teach a pattern. ou can see from the S&T players on the PGA Tour that they look different. Weir, Badds, Wilson. Similar action but very different.

I spent the winter converting to this. It’s a nice action. I was always a little flat so it wasn’t a big change. The biggest change was staying on my front foot. It felt strange at first ( not turning behind the ball )

I have great results on the range and at the pitch and putt close by. I’ll see how it works this summer on a full course over 18 holes.

What’s with all the haters? It may work for some and not for others. Golf isn’t a game of robots.

Yup Tiger Woods and I have 14 majors between us.

really they are not not possible. They are however teaching face and path relations to tour players and showing what fits for the motions that they do. They by no means are making robots. However for the average joe they are fixing the slice. Thats the real deal.

He’s saying every one on tour has a different swing and yet he’s teaching one swing to everybody. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

All these videos, all the instructions i’ve ever read, still do not tell anyone what they are hitting with. Once you can answer what leverage you are using and what muscles you are using…your swing will automatically fall into place. My system is the best.

Jack NIcklaus had a reverse c too guy. Is he not a great player either? by the way, you can’t reverse pivot when you are swinging on an axis. I’d like to see your credentials.

Stack and tilt is nothing new fontaine. Take a look at jack nicklaus. His left **** cheek is over his left foot at the top of the back swing. His weight is well left. Yes, I’m saying he is a great example of this. The thing that bothers me is these guys did not invent this geometric model or even identify it. Anyone heard of mac o’grady. He was talking about this over 20 years ago.
